HOW WE QUOTE
Solar quoted off your power bills
Solar has a salesman problem. Big promises, inflated savings, and nobody answering the phone once the panels are up. We do it the other way around.

What size solar system do you need?
Punch in the usage from your last bill. You get a straight starting size for Bundaberg sun. Nothing stored, no sign-up.
Your usage
Evenings, overnight and early morning. For many working households 60–75% is a fair starting point.
How much do you want covered?
Recommended solar array
2.6 kW
6 × 440 W panels
Across the seasons
Sizing uses a Bundaberg annual average of 5.2 peak sun hours. Panels make less mid-winter and more mid-summer, so one yearly number overstates June.
Mid-winter this array is about 1.9 kWh/day short of your targets, so expect some grid power. Sizing up, or accepting lower winter coverage, are both normal. Worth talking through on site.
You average 10 kWh a day, with about 6.5 kWh used after dark. The array covers your daytime use and makes extra to recharge the battery, losses included. You set it to cover 100% of total usage. That is a target, not a guarantee.
Want this checked properly?
These are planning numbers. A real quote uses your meter data, your roof and your switchboard.
Planning estimate only. Final sizing must consider meter interval data, roof orientation, shading, export limits, tariffs, inverter compatibility, backup loads and an on-site assessment. A battery can hold enough kWh for the night and still lack the kW to run several big appliances at once. Fennway Electrical — Electrical Contractor Licence 1506444.
Adding a battery? The federal rebate takes around $250 off per usable kilowatt-hour. See what the rebate is actually worth in 2026.

Common questions
Solar questions, straight answers
The things people ask us before committing to solar in Bundaberg.
How much does solar cost in Bundaberg?
Anyone who quotes solar before seeing your roof is guessing. The real price depends on your usage and the system that actually fits, so we look first, then give you one fixed number in plain English. The quote's free.
Are you accredited to install solar?
Yes. We're SAA-accredited, formerly CEC, hold QLD electrical contractor licence 1506444, and we're fully insured. Every install is done to Australian standards and certified.
Is a home battery worth it?
For some homes, yes. For others, not yet. It comes down to your evening usage and your tariff, so we'll run your real numbers and tell you straight, even when the honest answer is wait.
What about solar and battery rebates?
There are genuine federal and state incentives for solar and batteries. As part of your quote we'll tell you exactly which ones you qualify for, and none you don't.
Will my switchboard need upgrading for solar?
Sometimes, especially with older boards. That's why we check yours before we quote. The price you get is the whole price, never a mid-job add-on.
Who looks after it once it's on?
We do. You get a local number that answers, not a call centre in another state. If something needs looking at, the bloke who installed it comes back.
